Medication
Phentermine: A weight loss drug that helps you to control the most important aspect of weight which is calorie consumption. By reducing the craving for food, combined with nutrition counseling from Dr. Sarah Zara, many patients are losing an average of 15 – 20 pounds in their first month of treatment. For ongoing success.
Semaglutide: This medication is a weekly injectable that aids in weight loss. It is slow to take effect, but is very effective over time.
Growth Hormone Therapy: Growth hormone is also known as the “Hollywood Hormone” due to its strong anti-aging properties. Dr. Smitherman utilizes a peptide called Sermorelin that promotes growth hormone production in your body. As we age, our growth hormone declines leading to the typical signs of aging: loose skin, lose of muscle mass, fat gain around the belly, and decreased cognitive function. Sermorelin helps your body to release more growth hormone to improve these signs of aging.
Nutrient Injections
- MIC Injections: MIC stands for methionine/inositol/choline. These ingredients are known as lipotropics. Meaning that they help metabolize fat.
- Carnitine Injection: Carnitine helps to shuttle fat into cells to be used for energy production.
- B Vitamin Injection: B vitamins are used as necessary cofactors in the enzyme reactions that break down fats, and carbohydrates for energy production. Most commonly a mixture of B1/B2/B3/B5/B6/B12.
- These injections are given 1-2 times per week either in office or at home. At home use requires visit to learn how to perform self injections.
